When should I begin working with a college counselor?
It’s never too early to begin the college preparation process, and it’s never too late. Ideally, college counseling should begin as early as your first year in high school. Many students begin college counseling services during their junior year in high school, and some even begin their senior year or after graduation. Again, it’s never too late; we work with students at any point in the process.
What kind of assistance can I expect from my college admissions counselor?

Are the meetings in person or online?
Both, depending on your preference. Guidance sessions are offered in-person at our Bethesda, Maryland office or online using a videoconference platform. We know it’s difficult to schedule meetings in between school assignments, work, and other obligations and we make it as convenient as possible for you and your family.
Can these services be offered in Spanish?
Yes, we have bilingual educational advisors that can provide the services in Spanish as needed. This is particularly beneficial because it allows us to include family members who may only speak Spanish in the planning process.
